What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe the best care starts with listening. During our visits, my goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns openly. I take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and personal goals so we can develop a treatment plan that's tailored specifically to you. My approach is collaborative and evidence-based. I believe patients should understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and the reasons behind each recommendation. Whether we decide on medication, lifestyle changes, therapy referrals, or a combination of approaches, you'll be an active partner in every decision. My goal is for you to leave each appointment feeling heard, informed, and confident about the next steps in your care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first appointment is focused on getting to know you. We'll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and any previous treatments you've tried. I take a comprehensive approach to ensure we have a clear understanding of what's contributing to your symptoms before making recommendations. If a diagnosis is appropriate, we'll review it together and discuss your treatment options. This may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, or referrals for specialized therapy when indicated. I believe it's important that you understand the reasoning behind every recommendation, and I encourage questions throughout the process. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring your progress, addressing any concerns or side effects, and making adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. I also incorporate supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies into our sessions to help you build long-term skills while working toward your goals. My goal is for every visit to feel collaborative, unhurried, and personalized to your unique needs.
