I am a Dual-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatry and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of extensive nursing experience. I hold a Post Master's Certificate in Psychiatry and Mental Health Nursing from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley. My philosophy is ?people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care? (Theodore Roosevelt). I'm passionate about delivering compassionate care to patients dealing with major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorders. I understand that different experiences throughout a patient's life journey can contribute to mental health issues. As such, I obtain detailed psychiatric histories and work with patients to create customized treatment plans.

I love this lady, for the first time I felt heard and listened to and not just rushed through and on to the next call. she not only was worried about me now but the me from the beginning and what probably led to my mental health issues. no psych has ever really took the time to even care what has happened in my past to understand some of what I have been dealing with I have been dealing with my whole life. most visit last 15 20 minutes max and I am left feeling like nothing changes and meds never really help. but not this time I truly feel like this time will be different and I am so glad I left my old psychiatrist and found Mrs. Cynthia. This is gonna mean a big change for me and my kids thank you!

I had a 4 minute appointment, and I was told they wouldn't be able to assist indirectly. I tried talking about what I needed, but every time I did, she said she had a list of therapists I could go to. She sent me a referral list but I was confused because I waited days for this much needed appointment just to be handed off to someone else and still get charged for the visit since I haven't reached my deductible.
