“Had an amazing first appointment! Felt very comfortable in the session, it was an even flow in conversation. I admired that it was not a "HERE TAKE THIS" and see you on a follow up, instead it was explained, and I was recommended a natural supplement instead of a narcotic prescription. At the end of the session, I was grateful and had clarity on my symptoms and what to do that I endure from head trauma from an accident. Totally recommend Dale Miller to friends and family :) ”

Getting to know Dale Miller

Dale is an understanding and easy-to-talk-to practitioner who started working in mental health over 30 years ago. He holds a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of South Alabama, a Bachelor's degree from Western Governors University, and an Associate's degree from Excelsior University. At this time, Dale can only accept the major networks; he cannot accept NYSHIP, NY State Gatekeeper plans, Health First of NY, or any other plans supplemented by Medicaid or Medicare. Dale prefers to utilize medications as tools that should provide the "most benefit with the least amount" on board. He has helped many people with the challenge of removing their dependency on benzodiazepines. Dale prioritizes providing clients with a space where they can be heard. He believes that mindfulness is a great tool for many client challenges. He has experience treating Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Insomnia, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and also child behaviors including Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Dale provides 60 minute initial visits and 30 minute follow-ups in order to fully understand and discuss at length the challenges a person may have. He combines medication management with simple listening and advising a plan. He uses a person centered approach and creates a safe and comfortable space for his patients to be heard. He listens to his patients and helps them navigate challenges and actualize their goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A firm belief in assessing the unmanagable concerns we sometimes have, logically reviewing alternatives and putting a plan in action to better our physical and mental well being. Everyone is unique and has meaning, and sometimes we need help in discovering that meaningfulness. This is our turn in life for embracing both our successes and also our failures, as these are the factors that truly define us. :)
