Getting to know Dr. Dallas Bowles

I provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adults, using a holistic and bio-psycho-social approach to treatment. My work includes diagnostic evaluations, evidence-based psychotherapy, and medication management, with a special focus on depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma (PTSD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I believe that each person’s story matters, and I strive to create a space where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their care. I’ve been in healthcare for nearly 16 years, with more than 11 of those years dedicated to mental health. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Utah College of Nursing in 2018 and am board certified in psychiatric-mental health care across the lifespan. My clinical experience includes working at Valley Behavioral Health, where I managed the Clozapine clinic, and at Huntsman Mental Health Institute (HMHI) in the Crisis Center, Bridge Program, and Long-Acting Injection Clinic. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with my family. These personal passions help keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance and well-being—values I bring into my practice with patients. Please note: I am accepting new patients for ongoing medication management support. I do not provide therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I approach care as a partnership. I’ll meet you where you are and work with you to identify both challenges and strengths. I believe mental health care should never feel one-size-fits-all, so I take time to listen, understand your goals, and tailor treatment to what feels most meaningful to you. Patients often tell me they appreciate my calm, collaborative style and my ability to explain treatment options in a way that makes them feel both informed and empowered. Whether we’re working through a tough diagnosis or adjusting a treatment plan, my goal is to help you feel supported and hopeful throughout the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start with a thorough evaluation to understand your history, current concerns, and priorities. From there, we’ll work together to create a personalized plan that may include medication management, therapy, or lifestyle strategies to support overall health. I check in regularly with patients and adjust treatment as needed, ensuring that care evolves as life does. My ultimate goal is to foster resilience and help you build a balanced, fulfilling life.

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email from Stella Mental Health (formerly Numinus) containing your intake paperwork. Please allow about 30 minutes to complete this form. Your responses will help your provider prepare for your upcoming appointment. All patients are required to complete the intake form 24 business hours before their appointment. You will receive a phone call from one of our dedicated Care Advocates, who can answer any questions you may have. Please be prepared to provide a credit card to keep on file for co-pays or cancellation fees. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full intake appointment fee ($292). During your intake appointment, you’ll spend 60 minutes with your provider collaborating on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. If in-person treatments are recommended—such as TMS, Spravato, DSR SGB, or ketamine therapy—our care team will guide you through the process and ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
