What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in whole-person care. Whether we’re focusing on medication management, lifestyle changes, or emotional support, my goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered in your mental health journey. I take time to understand you — not just your diagnosis. We’ll check in regularly to make sure your treatment is working for you, and I’ll always explain your options so you can make informed choices. Expect a calm, thoughtful pace to our work together, and open communication — if something isn’t working, we’ll adjust it. Your input is always welcomed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our first session, I’ll take time to really understand your story — your current concerns, past experiences, and what you’re hoping to get out of our time together. We’ll talk about your mood, sleep, stress, lifestyle, and any symptoms you’re experiencing. I may also ask about your medical history, past treatments, and family background to help guide an accurate diagnosis and personalized plan. If it makes sense, we’ll discuss medication options, but that’s never the only focus. I also incorporate supportive talk therapy, coping strategies like CBT techniques, and lifestyle recommendations tailored to your needs. Follow-up visits are typically shorter and more focused — we’ll check in on how you’re feeling, review any side effects, and adjust the plan if needed. I want each session to feel like a thoughtful, two-way conversation — not rushed or one-size-fits-all.
