She is a mother of two from Northern Jersey with a passion for supporting, educating, and bringing together communities of breastfeeding families. Her professional career includes earning a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from Long Island University and working as an educator teaching various science and math courses to pharmacy and medical assistant students. Her aspiration to become a full-time supporter for breastfeeding families and an IBCLC did not come until she grew her own family, experiencing her own trials and tribulations breastfeeding her two children and starting her own breastfeeding support group to help her get through those bumpy roads. She realized her love for educating and now her love for supporting families should become one. She brings experience working as a Peer Counselor in WIC at NY Presbyterian while studying her lactation-specific courses. Since finishing her clinical hours working with Dr. Amy Schecter from Breastfeeding Medicine of NJ, she found her calling to commit and specialize in supporting families who have babies with tethered oral tissues. She continues to further her education with the most updated research and information. Danice serves as a Co-Chair for the New Jersey Breastfeeding Coalition on their Education Committee and recently took on the role of project manager in creating training videos to help child care centers become breastfeeding friendly. During her free time, you can find her hiking through trails at National Parks with her family, taking road trips exploring new places in America, and reading a good book while sipping coffee at local cafés. She strives to help mothers reach their nursing goals and hopes you allow her to guide you on your journey! Breastfeeding is empowering! Big accomplishments take dedication you may not know you have.
