About Dr. Daniel Eshaghian
Dr. Daniel Eshaghian is a native of the San Fernando Valley. He attended UCLA for his undergraduate studies, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He subsequently earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. Following graduation, he completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After residency training, Dr. Eshaghian spent two years practicing inpatient medicine as a Gastroenterology Hospitalist in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He ultimately completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at Oklahoma State University Medical Center, serving as chief fellow in his final year of training. Dr. Eshaghian practices general gastroenterology and hepatology, with special interests in colorectal cancer screening, reflux disease, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. His desire to serve his hometown brought him back to Southern California after completing his medical training. In his spare time, Dr. Eshaghian enjoys watching sports, cycling, European history and travel, and spending time with his family and friends. He is fluent in Farsi.

Dr. Eshaghian was, without a doubt, the best office visit I've had with a doctor in YEARS. I was dreading this appointment and not only did I feel heard but he talked to me like a human who understood me as a human and was able to address my concerns with valuable insight.
Wish that wasn't such a rarity but I'm floored by how well I was treated (including by his staff!). Thanks again!

I waited less than 5 minutes to be taken to the examination room. The doctor listened to me and answered all my questions. He was engaged, friendly, and seemed to truly care that I all my concerns were addressed. His office staff was friendly as well, which is always a plus.

This was one of the best experiences with a doctor I have had! Dr. Eshaghian listened to my concerns and was very personable. I was treated with respect and understanding. Dr. E is very thorough and collaborative. He actively listens to your concerns & works with you to make sure you feel comfortable with the plan of care. It’s one of the few times I feel like I’ve been taken seriously by a doctor. I received wonderful care & would definitely recommend!

Dr. Eshaghian listened to all of my concerns, and asked questions to better understand what was going on. I didn't have a list of issues, my problem was more vague, but has persisted for months which prompted me to go see him. He was very thorough in wanting to eliminate potential concerns through testing. I am sure many Dr's would brush me off and tell me that "bodies change as you get older." That maybe true, but I also know four people who died of stomach/colon cancer in the past two years with practically no warning. So, I was very thankful that he wants to really get a good idea of what is happening because I really do think something (and it might be as simple as Crohn's) is happening, and I need to find out what it is. I can sleep better for now knowing that I have tests scheduled.

Had a great time with Dr Daniel and the office of UMD! I changed my appointment a few days prior on Zocdoc, and it didn’t pop up in their computer. However, Christine, who was the only one in the entire office to that day due to previous circumstances, accommodated me and squeezed me in. This was beyond appreciated. Dr Daniel is both informative and patient. On top of that, I felt very comfortable with him and appreciated his personable bedside manner. Amazing GI doc, totally recommend!

Dr Eshaghian was amazing. Has issues for a while that no one seemed to know what was wrong. With a couple questions and talking to him about my symptoms he was pin pointed what was going on. But he was absolutely wonderful. Very very happy to have stumbled upon his office.
