Getting to know Dr. Daniel Marston

Are you seeking more than just a listening ear? Do you want a therapist who offers understanding and practical strategies to help you navigate life's challenges? You're in the right place. I'm Dr. Marston, a psychologist with over 30 years of experience, specializing in cognitive-behavior therapy-the gold standard for evidence-based treatment. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. I'm also a professor and author, passionate about blending cutting-edge research with compassionate care to make therapy as effective as possible. What sets my approach apart? I believe great therapy combines a deep understanding of psychology, clinical expertise, and genuine encouragement. A former client once said, “Dr. Marston is a great psychologist. He can be tough sometimes, but that's exactly what I needed.” That balance of challenge and support is at the heart of what I offer. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, or simply want to build a better life, I'm here to help. Let's work together to create real change. I look forward to meeting you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session together we will work on developing a solid understanding of your problems and what seems to be contributing to those difficulties. It is important to keep in mind that I consider diagnoses to be only the very starting point of therapy. So if you have been told by another therapist or another doctor that you have "depression" or "anxiety" I will want to hear what those terms mean to you. My interest here is not in what other people say about your experiences but in what you say about your experiences and what those experiences mean to you. We will then use each session afterward to build on this information to find better ways of dealing with the challenges you face. My goal for each session is to make facing those challenges easier and make life more rewarding.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
