Daniel is the Medical Director of Total Mind Wellness Group. He provides medication management only, both in person and virtually. Daniel holds a Master’s in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Duke University, and earned bachelor's degrees from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Union College.
All patients will be required to undergo a 10-15 minute free consultation by phone prior to their scheduled initial appointment (the provider will reach out to you).

What should a new client know about working with you?
Daniel Moldwin is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who completed his training at Duke University. He has extensive experience working with a variety of mental health conditions. He currently provides outpatient medication management to clients conveniently in his office and via telemedicine. Building strong trusting relationships, providing education, and engaging in client-centered care are all important aspects of Daniel’s treatment approach. His goal is to optimize each person’s quality of life, helping people to feel happier and more fulfilled. He is proud to provide clients across New York State with easily accessible, affordable, quality mental health care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
His goal is to create a safe, trusting, and engaging environment while ensuring that clients receive top quality, evidence informed care. This entails spending a great deal of time assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. Treatment plans are tailored to individual needs and not developed in a cookie-cutter fashion.
Daniel will present all pharmacologic options that are available and will work collaboratively with the client to determine which medication is the best fit. By the end of each visit, the client will feel they are heard and will fully understand their diagnosis and treatment plan.

Dr. Moldwin is very kind and was a pleasure to speak to during my initial meeting. This was my first time booking an appointment through Zocdoc and things went swimmingly. In regards to my own experiences, I felt like I finally found a doctor that actually listens to their patients. There were times I might've been rambling but not once did I get cut off. Above all, I felt welcome and heard.
He also explained things to me thoroughly and professionally about ADHD, such as the diagnosis, symptoms, solutions and treatment - among other things.

My first appointment with Dr. Moldwin was great! He’s the first psychiatrist that actually took an interest in how my mental health impacts all the facets of my life.
