Getting to know Daniel Riffe

I know it can be difficult to reach out for mental health care, and you do not need to have everything figured out before starting. I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management using a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, life stress, and questions about medication. My goal is to help you feel heard, better understand your options, and find a treatment plan that fits your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that my style is collaborative, compassionate, and straightforward. You do not need to have everything perfectly organized before your first visit. We will work together to understand what has been going on, what has or has not helped in the past, and what options may make sense moving forward. My goal is to provide psychiatric care that feels thoughtful, respectful, and grounded in shared decision-making.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first visit is focused on understanding what you are experiencing and what kind of support you are looking for. We will review symptoms, history, medications, past treatment, safety, sleep, stress, and goals for care. I will share my diagnostic impressions and talk through treatment options, including medication when appropriate. Follow-up visits focus on progress, side effects, symptom changes, and adjustments to the plan. My practice centers on psychiatric evaluation and medication management, with psychoeducation and supportive therapy included as part of care.
