About Dr. Daniel Stevens
Dr. Daniel Stevens is a podiatric physician focused on high quality, personalized, compassionate medical care. He prioritizes patient education regarding each individual concern to encourage a team approach and maximize the benefits of treatment.
He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan. He completed his three year podiatric surgical residency program at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, New York, where he received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, trauma, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage. His interests include biomechanical analysis, sports medicine, and treatment of dermatological conditions. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Stevens was raised in Plainville, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he majored in Medical Laboratory Science. He previously worked as a Phlebotomist at Boston Children’s Hospital and as a Medical Technologist at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island before receiving his medical degree.
Dr. Stevens is an avid Boston sports and Formula 1 fan. In his free time he enjoys painting, sketching, running, surfing, and spending time with his wife and son.

I appreciate that the practice could see me as a new patient quickly. I also appreciate that Dr. Steven’s had an x-ray done and opined that I had not fractured my foot in a fall. But then he recommended that I have a bunch of ultrasound treatments of my foot (research has demonstrated that such treatments only provide a placebo effect). He similarly strongly recommended that I have a bunch of laser appoints for toenail fungus. I’ve previously had success with oral medication and didn’t want to have to have a lot of follow up visits. I asked him about potential surgery for a bunion and hammer toe , but he responded that he would have to refer me to a the office’s surgeon; if a podiatrist doesn’t perform surgery, they are pretty limited. Finally, I asked that copies of my x-rays be emailed to me for review by another doctor. I received an email without the x/rays attached. My follow up request didn’t yield a response; I had the x-rays redone.

Went in for ingrown toenails but didn’t get much help. The doctor was kind and personable, but didn’t do a very good job. Two of my ingrown nails he cut but wouldn’t operate on, which caused both to become infected, worsening the pain. The one nail he did operate on took intense trauma and is now starting to fall off months later. The doctor also insisted I should keep soaking my toes in Epsom salt water as an alternative to toe surgery. This did not help.
I sought a second opinion from a different podiatrist in Columbia and had a much better experience. My toes healed far better after surgery, and I haven’t had any issues or infections since.

I'm so glad to have had an appointment with Dr. Stevens. He sized up the problem with foot right away, wrapped it with special tape, put orthotics in my shoes, and told me to return in a week. He was friendly and direct, and I left the office with a sense of positive energy and support.

My visit with Dr Stevens was excellent. I made the appointment due to an ingrown toenail. Once Dr. Stevens began to examine my toe, he could see the problem right away. He immediately took the steps to resolve the issue. Dr Stevens was very attentive and explained the reason for the steps taken to correct the ingrown toenail. I was very pleased with the results. Upon my exit, they scheduled a two week follow up visit. I highly recommend Dr Stevens for all your foot care needs.

Dr. Stevens was absolutely amazing! I was very nervous for my appointment and he walked me step by step beforehand and during my procedure. I felt comfortable, heard and reassured. Dr. Stevens had a wonderful gentle rapport with your teenage special needs son. He was very careful, knowledgeable, and a clear communicator. My son needed a procedure that had made him very anxious in the past, but under Dr. Stevens’ care he was very calm and content.
