She holds a Doctorate in Family Nursing from Aspen University. A primary care provider (PCP) should be a guide and an advocate for patients' wellbeing. The role of a PCP is to listen to patients' health concerns and symptoms and perform a high-value assessment to determine diagnoses. This allows the PCP to formulate evidence-based treatment plans. Healthcare providers should educate patients on the different treatment options available to address their health needs, guiding and helping them make informed decisions regarding their care. Primary care providers should assess patients from mental, spiritual, and physical perspectives. As human beings, it is key to have our health concerns properly assessed from these three perspectives, allowing individuals the chance to achieve their highest level of wellness. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and planning outdoor activities such as scuba diving and playing volleyball.
