FL
Hi, I’m Danielle Lashawn Russell, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C. I’m a dual-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by both the ANCC and AANP. As the founder of Royal Serenity Healthcare LLC, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care through telehealth across Florida. My passion lies in supporting individuals through life’s toughest moments. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, and major life transitions. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing, creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered. When appropriate, I also offer medication management, including controlled substances, to support each client’s unique treatment needs. My background includes experience in both mental health and family practice, including hospice care, which deepened my understanding of emotional resilience, grief, and holistic healing. I believe in addressing the whole person, which includes the mind and body, and meeting each client where they are. My goal is to help you gain clarity, emotional balance, and practical tools for lasting change. Whether you're just beginning your mental health journey or looking for a provider who truly listens, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and expertise.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy style is warm, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe in creating a safe space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, with no judgment, just real conversations. I take a collaborative approach, meaning we’ll work together to understand what’s going on and create a treatment plan that fits your needs and lifestyle. I primarily use evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you challenge unhelpful thoughts, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to identify your strengths and set practical goals, and Motivational Interviewing to support meaningful, lasting change. When appropriate, I also offer medication management, and we’ll always discuss your options openly so you can make informed decisions about your care. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin; just come as you are. I’m here to help you gain clarity, emotional balance, and tools that support your growth both during and beyond our time together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During your first session, we’ll begin with a detailed conversation about your current concerns, mental health history, physical health, lifestyle, and treatment goals. This helps me understand the full picture and begin forming an accurate diagnosis. I may ask questions about your mood, sleep, focus, energy, past experiences, and any symptoms you're noticing, all at a pace that feels comfortable for you. If appropriate, we’ll also review any previous diagnoses, lab results, or medications you’ve tried. From there, we’ll work together to create a personalized treatment plan, which may include talk therapy, lifestyle strategies, and/or medication management. I’ll always explain the options and involve you in every decision. In ongoing sessions, we’ll check in on your progress, discuss any changes or challenges, and continue therapy using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing. These sessions are conversational and focused on helping you feel more grounded, clear, and in control of your mental health. Every visit is a space for you to be heard, supported, and empowered, whether you’re here for an evaluation, medication, or therapy.
