Getting to know Danny Vining

I create partnerships with clients to help them on a positive mental health journey. Danny graduated nursing school at University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 1996. He obtained his Masters degree in Nursing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2009 from the University of Southern Mississippi. Since 1999 he has held a variety of roles on general psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and dual diagnosis-addiction disorders units. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner Danny served as Nurse Manager for Behavioral Health Services at Central Mississippi Medical Center. He has practiced in a general psychiatry practice with Dr. Raza since 2010, and he has recently relocated here to the Sugar Land area. He enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and seniors with a variety of psychiatric disorders including attention deficit disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. Danny has started additional PhD candidate work at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing in Jackson, Mississippi. We look forward to serving your mental healthcare needs.
