I was asked via text/email 4 separate times to confirm that I was still planning on attending my appointment. The day before I was so attend, the office called and said that the doctor was not actually available that day and that although I had taken the day off, they had no one available to see me as, “it was such short notice.” After I cancelled, I received another text through ZocDoc asking me to confirm a 5th time and when I called the office to make sure that I wouldn’t be charged for a missed appointment, the phone rang for about 3 minutes straight with no answer/ VM option before I ended the call. Today, the day I was to have my appointment, I received a text and an email asking me to rate my appointment that had been cancelled. I feel that if providers are to be using this app, they need to pay attention to any inconsistencies with scheduling in advance as it was too late to find anyone else and my day off was wasted.
