Darby Auckland, PA-C

Physician Assistant (Psychiatry)
1 E Superior St, Ste 306, Chicago, IL
I am passionate about mental health and strive to provide a space where all patients feel comfortable and supported while navigating their mental health. Mental health can really impact a person’s wellbeing, but is often overlooked due to the difficulty accessing care or finding the right provider. This is why it is so important and rewarding for me to be able to provide access to holistic mental health care. I went to Saint Mary’s College at Notre Dame in Indiana where I received my undergraduate degree in Biology. I earned my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lipscomb University in Nashville, where I developed a strong foundation in medical and psychiatric care. My training included various clinical rotations, with one rotation completed in inpatient psychiatry at Trustpoint Hospital in Tennessee where I was able to gain valuable experience treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions. As a clinician, I aim to integrate evidence-based pharmacological management while emphasizing education and empowerment of my patients. I believe in listening deeply, creating a partnership with each patient, and honoring each person’s unique lived experience. I recognize that seeking help for mental health can be difficult, that is why I am dedicated to creating an environment where patients feel safe, respected, and free of judgment. My specialties include, but are not limited to, major depressive disorder, anxiety, OCD, substance use disorders, ADD/ADHD, and other mood disorders. The provider is currently practicing under the supervision of Kalyan Rao, MD who is a specialist in Psychiatry.
