What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is calm, straightforward, and collaborative. I focus on clear explanations and practical treatment recommendations that fit your day-to-day life rather than using a one-size-fits-all plan. You will be included in decisions about your care and given time to ask questions. Medication may be considered when appropriate, but there is no pressure to start it. We will review the potential benefits, risks, alternatives, and what you can realistically expect so that you can make an informed decision. Please note that my practice does not complete third-party forms or paperwork, including disability, leave, accommodation, or emotional-support-animal documentation. My goal is for you to feel heard, understand your options, and feel confident about the next steps.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first appointment focuses on understanding what you have been experiencing rather than rushing into a diagnosis or treatment decision. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, relevant medical and psychiatric history, previous treatment, medications, sleep, daily functioning, and the goals you have for care. I ask targeted questions while keeping the conversation comfortable and giving you space to discuss what matters most to you. After the evaluation, I will explain my initial impressions and review appropriate treatment options with you. If we decide to move forward together, we will create a personalized plan and use follow-up visits to evaluate progress, address side effects or concerns, and make adjustments when needed.
