“I was having a lot of difficulty finding a psychologist that specialized in ADD. Especially one that uses CBT. I was thrilled when I found him and when we met he did not disappoint me. He really knows his stuff. In addition to all the help he provided with teaching me techniques to organize my life and cope with stress, he also taught me about mindfulness meditation. I never thought I had the attention span to meditate but it turns out I was wrong! It really helps me get centered when I start to feel overwhelmed. I feel like I got the practical advice and skills that I was looking for.”

Getting to know Dr. David Fazzari

I am a clinical psychologist with more than a decade of experience practicing evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness meditation-based interventions. I specialize in treating adults with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This specialization involves teaching practical problem-solving and coping skills to help you with time management, sustaining attention, reducing distractibility, and improving your organization and productivity. The majority of my clients with ADHD are also struggling with at least one other area of concern such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or work performance. As an ADHD specialist I appreciate the importance of understanding how these other coexisting difficulties interact with ADHD. Whether or not you have ADHD, I have extensive experience in treating depression, anxiety, insomnia, OCD, panic attacks, and phobias. And I understand successful treatment is not simply about reducing symptoms, it’s about improving your quality of life and feeling fulfilled in the areas that are important to you. Training: Doctoral degree, Columbia University Internship, Weill Cornell Medical Center **Important notice regarding medication and insurance.** I am a psychologist and therefore cannot prescribe medication. Also, I am out-of-network for all insurance plans. However, if your insurance company covers out-of-network providers, I can provide a statement you can submit along with your claim form for reimbursement. Note: currently all appointments are over HIPAA-compliant video due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Excellent. He is attentive and provides great feedback.

Dr. Fazzari has a great bedside manner and is very easy to talk through. He may seem a little reticent at first, but developing a rapport with him was fairly painless. His approach to mindfulness is open and not regimented, which is a positive for people who are seeking that form of therapy.
Dr. Fazzari has helped me to manage my ADD symptoms over the last few years. He is always insightful, friendly, professional, and above all a good listener. I could not recommend him more highly.
Visits were very helpful, highly recommended. Helped to identify problem(s) and create action plan when needed. Provided customized outside resources that helped to hold me accountable to my goals. Very courteous, professional, and relatable.
I have been in therapy a few times before, but I really felt I needed concrete strategies to help me with my ADHD which I have never gotten before. When I met with Dr. Fazzari he described his approach & it felt like he was reading my mind. He was able to articulate many of the thoughts & feeling I have when I'm struggling with my ADHD. It was clear that this is something he is very passionate & knowledgeable about. He helped me put into place the skills I was looking for to help me with time management & organization, as well as helping me understand how my ADHD & anxiety can feed into one another. Understanding this really helped me manage my anxiety better.
It was an overall excellent experience. Fantastic value per time spent. Doctor was knowledgable, friendly, helpful. Very professional, confidential, and well-organized.
Amazing. Very helpful. Great for ADHD patients.
