As a board certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist, Dr. Harris has extensive experience in the management of both routine eye problems and complex corneal disease. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Biochemistry & Cellular and Molecular Biology. He received his medical degree from the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. He completed his Preliminary Surgery internship, Ophthalmology residency, and Cornea & External Disease fellowship at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. In 2019, he was a recipient of the Residents' Award for Excellent Teaching and Dedicated Service while working as a full-time ophthalmology instructor for physician residents at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Starting this September, he joined the Mount Sinai Faculty Practice and was also promoted to the position of Medical Director for the Ophthalmology Department at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West hospitals.
