About Dr. David Lauren
Dr. Lauren brings 20 years of experience in family medicine and urgent care to his position of lead doctor and Medical Director for AFC Urgent Care Stamford. Prior to his role here, Dr. Lauren provided urgent care services to children and adults at the multiple walk-in centers of the Northeast Medical Group/Yale New Haven Health System. Previously he practiced family medicine with Northeast Medical Group/Yale New Haven Health and with St. Vincent’s MultiSpecialty Group. From 1994 through 2009 Dr. Lauren was a family practice physician in Ohio, where he provided services including inpatient care at Genesis HealthCare System’s Bethesda Hospital and Good Samaritan Medical Center. Dr. Lauren completed his residency in family practice in 1994 at The Ohio State University Department of Family Medicine in Columbus, OH following an internship at Doctor’s Hospital of Stark County in Massillon. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude from the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Lauren is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the State Medical Board of Ohio and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He resides in Huntington, CT with his family.

Worst experience ever! AFC urgent care is the worst. They cant even answer the phone call if you have a lot of question even you paid for it.

This is a scam - this is just a walk in urgent care factuality that does NOT take appointments. I arrived at my appointment time and they said they didn't take appointments and that it would be over an hour wait.
Should be taken off Zocdoc!

What a great place. Doctors Express is an incredible walk-in clinic. They make everyone feel welcomed; and it's easy to feel welcomed considering their open door policy and courteous staff. The place is spotless; the staff is amazing, the doctor was great. I invite everyone to come here for their medical needs!

Came in today because I was experiencing a sore throat. Dr. Lauren was able to see me right away with minimual wait time. His staff is also great, very cheerful & welcoming. Would refer him to my friends.

A great urgent care option in Stamford, no wait and they took my insurance. I went to Doctors Express for a persistent cough when my primary care doctor's office was closed. The medical staff was very friendly and offered me juice or water while I was checking in. I was seen by the medical director who was great and explained my condition and the treatment. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Just what the doctor ordered! I came in because I was feeling run down for a couple of weeks. I checked in on-line, stopped by after work and was seen in 5 minutes. I saw Doctor Lauren who was very thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. I got the prescription I needed and felt better by the end of the week. I would definitely recommend this urgent care center.
