What should a new client know about working with you?

I like to get to know my patients and build rapport and trust. Treating mental health is a process that requires time and investment. I listen to my clients' needs and collaborate with them to provide care that addresses and meets those needs. Although my primary role is in medication management, I like to spend time listening to and working with my patients

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is collaborative, patient-centered, and focused on building a strong therapeutic relationship from the beginning. During the first visit, I take time to understand the client’s concerns, symptoms, psychiatric history, medical history, medications, lifestyle, and treatment goals. I also complete a comprehensive assessment, including evaluation of safety and risk factors, to develop an individualized treatment plan. Together, we discuss treatment options and determine an approach that aligns with the client’s goals and preferences. When appropriate, this may include medication management, psychotherapy, behavioral strategies, lifestyle modifications, or referrals to additional services.
