Dr. David J. Rodricks is a nationally recognized surgeon with a fellowship in Total Hip and Knee replacement surgery. His fellowship was completed at the prestigious Scripps Clinic in La Jolla California. Training there included complex hip and knee revisions, primary and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Rodricks performs muscle sparing, minimally invasive total hip and knee replacements, revision surgeries, unicondylar knee replacements, robotic surgery, and Visionaire navigation surgery. He is considered a leader in joint replacements having performed over 12,000 surgeries with 20 years of experience. He has created pathways for outpatient total joints that have been modelled throughout the state. He created the robotic total knee program at OUMC and trains surgeons on its use. Dr. Rodricks has been selected by his peers to be the Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Ocean University Medical Center(OUMC). Prior to this he has served as the Clinical Care Joint Director at OUMC and on the executive committee at Southern Ocean Medical Center while there. He published the modern book chapter on Unicondylar Knee Replacements as well as articles in the top orthopaedic journal, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. Dr. Rodricks was accepted into the exclusive American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons as a fellow in 2006 and remains an active member. He is also a member of the British Hip Society. Having attended the University of Notre Dame for his Bachelor of Science degree he then attended Thomas Jefferson Medical School for his MD. Throughout his career he has been the recipient of multiple recognitions such as Top Doc in NJ, Bone and Joint Elite Select Surgeon, Nurses Choice as Doctor of the Year, Compassionate Physician, and Patients Choice Award. Dr. Rodricks has been happily married for over 21 years and has two wonderful children and two dogs, Atlas and Leo. He enjoys hiking, snowboarding and pickleball.
