Getting to know David Triche

As a Black gay male therapist, I bring a deeply personal understanding of the isolation and challenges faced by individuals with marginalized identities. My own journey and experience with clients have given me deep insights into the struggle of feeling voiceless, the impact of being misunderstood, and feeling unheard. This fuels my commitment to creating a therapeutic space where you are truly seen and valued. I have a passion for working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients and specialize in high-conflict couples, trauma, grief, socio-cultural issues, identity development, and managing life transitions. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University, which has further equipped me to support individuals and couples through their unique challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am an advocate for equity and social justice in underrepresented communities and devoted about working with clients from diverse populations. In my approach to therapy, I combine different therapeutic methods and collaborate with clients to address their overall well-being. I focus on the specific needs and goals of each of my clients, in light of their life circumstances.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am a clinician that is compassionate, welcoming, and has an enthusiastic presence. In therapy, we will work together to navigate your challenges, build resilience, and empower you to embrace your authentic self, find your voice, and heal your heart. I strive to ensure that anyone who comes to therapy has the opportunity to heal in an affirming space that acknowledges and validates your diverse experiences in a judgment-free environment.
