David Wells, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) passionate about collaborative, patient-centered care. After years of experience as a registered nurse in the hospital setting, he recognized the critical need for quality mental health care within his community. What should a new client know about working with you?
Your initial appointment is most often in the office for an in-person evaluation with your provider. In some circumstances, telehealth is used to expedite access to care, but an in-person appointment will be required within 2-4 weeks of beginning treatment. The initial evaluation will last between 45-60 minutes. The cost of the initial evaluation is $300 if your insurance is out-of-network or if you are uninsured. Follow-up appointments last 10-30 minutes and evaluate treatment progress, medication changes, and medication refills. Depending on your preference and treatment plan, follow-up appointments are available in person or via telehealth. The cost of follow-up appointments is $110 if your insurance is out-of-network or if you are uninsured.
