Extremely slow response time, unprofessional, and very unhelpful (or unwilling to help) staff. Would never recommend. I chose to wait in pain for another doctor to be available, rather than deal with this office.

Bad experience, would not recommend at all. Similar to other reviewers/patients bad experience.
The appointment was rushed and wasted asking the same questions that had been asked in the in-take form. Also, the doctor did not listen and would cut me off (similar to what others have said). No value added at all and left without any indication as to what could be my health issue.
Also, they re-scheduled my appointment, then for a 30 min video appointment the doctor showed up late 10 minutes and ended 5 minutes earlier.

Hard to recommend. In my first and only consultation with him Dr Yamini was impatient, self serving and demanding. He cut me off when I started explaining my symptoms and insisted on shoehorning the interaction to a set of yes/no questions. I called him from the Bay Area for an online consultation. He ordered me to get a COVID test and then fly to LA to see him in person. For an undiagnosed stomach issue that was most likely a suspected ulcer he suggested a colonoscopy. Great idea in general perhaps but usually not for diagnosing an upset stomach.

The onboarding process is a bit outdated. I had to download a 13 page document from his website, fill it in with medical, SSN and credit card info, email it to the exec assistant, who's email address is from a parked domain. Not to mention the PDF document is a scan, so that means it's not easily filled in electronically. Seems like digital onboarding should be used here.

He's extremely thorough and doesn't discount your thoughts on what might be going on with your body. When I thought I had a throat ulcer he and his awesome office staff (Debra's the best) walked me through the steps efficiently. They really went above and beyond to work with my schedule as a new patient. The follow-up consultation after my endoscopy was reassuring and I no longer doubt what's going on with my gut health.

Unfortunately this office seems to be motivated by things beyond medical care during a pandemic. I made a Zocdoc appointment and the front office called me 4-5 different times up to 5 mins after the doctor was supposed to show up to our appointment demanding different unnecessary items each time in order for him to show up to the appointment which I did not have readily available at a moment's notice. Very poor experience.

Dr Yamini is very well informed and proactive in his treatment. His requested tests were able to locate areas of concern which required further investigation. Without his inquiry it would not have been possible. Very professional and highly recommended.

Dr Yamini did not spend any time discussing the symptoms that brought me in to his office. He instead, asked me about my insurance and told me it covered way more tests than most insurance.
He booked me for several invasive tests the next day and did not explain to me why they were needed and ignored me every time I asked him why the tests were warranted or what they would show. He just said that I should take advantage of my insurance.
After waking up from the procedures, I found that I was in a lot of pain that I had not been in before and had difficulty standing or moving. Though he told me prior to the procedure I would have no pain, after the procedure, he told me being doubled over in pain for several days was completely normal.
His overall demeanor was rude, arrogant and dismissive. I strongly suggest seeing someone else.

Makes talking about uncomfortable subjects a breeze. Competent and honest: doesn't sell vitamin cleanses and his own probiotics or anything like that. Makes sure your symptoms aren't half-fixed but fully fixed. Gets to the heart of the issue quickly. Good listener. Very sweet receptionist. I hate receiving many phone calls, and she's persistent about making sure you set up an appointment; it was stressing me out. I found the her much easier to connect with once she gave me her cell and said to text.

I can’t say enough great things about my first impression of this doctor and his amazing staff! They got me right in and set me up for everything needed. I’ve been looking for the right GI doctor for years having had a very negative experience with another doctor years ago. He was very gentle about my situation yet did not fail to emphasize about the seriousness that could arise from gastrointestinal problems. Few and far between are as professional and caring as Dr. Yamini and his staff. I was 20 minutes late on Friday evening & they still had me in a room in 5 minutes as a new patient.

Scheduling was extremely easy with Dr. Yamini's staff, I scheduled my Tuesday appointment on Monday afternoon. The staff and Dr. Yamini were courteous and straightforward - even with new patient paperwork I was out the door within an hour!
