About Dr. Dayana Sawh
Dr. Sawh obtained her doctoral degree in podiatry from New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed her surgical residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in NJ. Since then she has been treating patients with a wide range of podiatric conditions via both surgical and conservative techniques. She treats conditions from toenail issues, to ankle injuries, to diabetic wounds, and many more. She puts her patients’ well-being and health first and foremost, and is looking forward to meeting more patients in the area.

My appointment on January 29 was for a nail clipping to test for fungus. The clinical interaction itself was professional, and the provider’s bedside manner was courteous and efficient.
However, I was later billed under CPT 11755, which is classified as a surgical nail unit biopsy. During my visit, there was no anesthesia, no nail avulsion, and no surgical biopsy of the nail bed or matrix. A small portion of the nail was clipped and sent for lab testing.
This coding significantly increased my financial responsibility under my insurance plan. When I contacted the office for clarification, I was informed that nail clipping is considered surgery for billing purposes, and no adjustment would be made.
While the medical interaction was fine, I found the billing transparency concerning. I would strongly encourage future patients to ask in advance how procedures will be coded and what the potential insurance classification may be. I personally would not return due to the billing experience.

I had a great visit with Dr.Sawh! She was really nice and got straight to it when she walked in the room. She immediately noticed something was wrong with my foot and ordered x-rays right away which were super quick. She gave me a plan to help my situation and i’ll be going back to follow up. She also smelled really good. The staff was great and quick as well, I didn’t feel rushed at all.

Provider Dr. Sawh was solid. She refrained from using medical terminology, at first, to avoid any confusion but was very knowledgable and have great advice. I was also taken in right after finishing paperwork, though, as a small practice, if you know a patient has to wait in an exam room for 15+ mins before seeing a provider, please just communicate this to manage expectations. Would definitely recommend Dr. Sawh for her expertise.

Dr. Sawh has a wonderful bedside manner making me feel completely comfortable. She is knowledgeable and knows what she's talking about. She encouraged the idea, so we started with X-rays. Yikes. Two weeks and they will make a mold of my foot for orthotics. The staff was excellent and nice.

Dr. Sawh was amazing. She was attentive to all of my concerns; explained things in a simplified manner; and shared future expectations.
After the x-rays she reviewed the results; showed me how her diagnosis was confirmed; and then explained how the suggested actions would provide benefit and hopefully relieve my pain.

Dr Sawh was wat you want from a doctors visit...listening to the patient and then advising. Asking probing questions to get to the heart of the issue. Recommending options and NOT wanting to gauge your insurance company.
