Getting to know Dayna Long

I'm Dayna Long, a dedicated and Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. I earned my Master's in Family Health Nursing from RUSH University Medical Center and completed a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing at the University of Cincinnati. My professional journey is a testament to my commitment to patient partnerships, where I empower individuals to achieve their health and wellness goals through a personalized and collaborative approach.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide Telehealth services virtually. I do not typically prescribe controlled substances to patients. At the core of my practice are evidence-based practices, serving as the foundation to bridge the crucial gap between physical and psychological health. I am fueled by a deep passion for culturally competent, trauma-focused and holistic care, recognizing and honoring the unique needs of each person under my care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Patients can expect to leave our sessions with practical solutions to their challenges, helpful resources, and a clear plan for safe and effective psychiatric medication management, if needed, all while feeling supported throughout the process.
