Dr. Deena Muno, PsyD

Psychologist
CA
Birth, death, love, and heartbreak. These core experiences are inevitable to all humans, and yet, we are always surprised by how profoundly they shape our lives as individuals. As a clinical psychologist with a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, I’ve come to understand just how deeply we struggle to make sense of these transitions and the great lengths we will go to avoid the feelings involved. I’ve had the privilege of helping people work through the depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, anger, and interpersonal conflict that often result from this avoidance, fostering a deeper sense of self-compassion for the human condition.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Together, we will help you achieve: A deeper sense of your internal experience Relief from painful past experiences A deeper sense of control over your life and understanding destructive patterns Improve your relationships Get to the root of your challenges Clients often tell me how much I’ve helped them gain new insights into themselves and I love helping clients find real relief. My favorite part of my job is watching clients transform through the therapy process and reach the goals they set in the beginning of our work together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Check out my calendar to find a time slot that works for you. Prior to our first meeting, we will schedule a brief 15 minute consult call to confirm compatibility, expectations, insurance, and finalize our first appointment. I typically spend the first few sessions getting a deeper sense of your goals, conflicts, and health/emotional history. Then we will get to work!
