About Dr. Dekayla Lawson
Healthcare has always been more than a career for Dr. Lawson. It is a calling. Throughout her journey from registered nurse to Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice, she has had the privilege of caring for patients during some of the most important moments of their lives. Those experiences reinforced her passion for helping others and showed her the true impact that compassionate, patient-centered care can have.
As she progressed in her career, she began to notice a growing challenge in healthcare. Many patients felt rushed, unheard, and disconnected from their providers. Appointments became shorter, relationships became less personal, and care often felt more focused on volume than on people.
"I knew there had to be a better way."
That belief led her to create Salice Family Health: a practice where patients feel valued, respected, and genuinely cared for. A place where healthcare is not just about treating symptoms, but about building lasting relationships, educating patients, promoting wellness, and helping individuals and families thrive.
Salice Family Health was founded on the belief that every patient deserves a provider who listens, takes time to understand their concerns, and partners with them to achieve their health goals.
