Dr. Demetrice Grier has over 15 years of experience serving the mental health population. He has extensive experience treating depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, sleep issues, and anxiety disorders. Dr. Grier earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of North Georgia Dahlonega Campus, a Master’s in Nursing from Georgia Southern University, and a Bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University. He believes in treating the patient, not the diagnosis. He believes everyone should have the opportunity for optimal mental health and be treated as a person, not a number.

What should a new client know about working with you?
I am able to provide optimal care to clients who are open and honest about their presenting challenges. I am non-judgmental and aware that every client is unique and cope with mental health conditions to the best of their ability.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
During our first session, we will working on building a rapport, set collaborative goals, medication management if needed or desired, and plan our next follow up.
