About Denise Gallo
Denise Gallo, APRN, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Dermatology, with years of experience treating a wide variety of dermatological conditions. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing from Fairfield University. Denise focuses on cosmetic dermatology, including PRP for hair restoration, microneedling for facial rejuvenation, as well as Botox, fillers, and Kybella. She is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and regularly attends the American Academy of Dermatology annual meetings. In her spare time, Denise generously volunteers at clinics in Kenya. We are proud to welcome her to the SkinCare family.

I have been going to Denise Gallo for years and I love her! She is amazing, and always spot on with what's going on with my skin, as well as my children's. I would recommend her for everything. She has done injections for cosmetic reasons, prescribed meds for my psoriasis, helped my children with acne. Always super pleasant, always on time. All around a great experience every single time!

Wonderful office with very friendly and welcoming front desk and nurse! The doctor, the exact opposite - cold and unprofessional. Did not ask a single question about my skin or care to explain a thing, simply asked if I wanted to “take a pill or use a topical” rather than determining a plan together through meaningful conversation, when I was really hoping to finally gain clarity about a condition I’ve struggled with for years. Brushed me off with a “it’s not that bad anyway” and a fistful of samples of products I had already been using (samples okay, but was not asked about my routine, if I was already using something like this or should be using something different etc). Given a prescription right off the bat, without much info about what it was or why I was going on it. Had plenty of other questions but unfortunately felt like my appointment was a waste of this provider’s time, even though the entire interaction probably lasted about 2.5 minutes. Will not be returning.

I initially made an appointment with the dermatologist but the office called and said for some reason i had to see the RN instead. First of all she didnt even look at my scalp just barely touched some hair at the top of my head. She didn't listen to my concerns and brushed everything off as me overreacting to a possible shedding phase. Her exact words to me were " don't worry you won't go bald". The appointment was probably 10 minutes long and I paid out of pocket just to hear information I couldve googled online. I am balding. I am young and have lost a 1/2 inch of hair in my hairline all around my head. I walked out of the office in tears because I was so frustrated that I wasn't taken seriously. I went to a board certified trichologist who told me that I need to get a scalp biopsy asap because when she looked at my scalp I had all the symptoms for frontal fibrosing alopecia. Now I'm on the hunt for a dermatologist AGAIN who can get the biopsy done.
