About Denise Lassman
Denise Lassman is an AANP-certified nurse practitioner. She earned her Associate’s degree from Austin Community College District, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University in 2015, and her Master’s of Science in Family Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2019. She has been working with Dr. Kunda at San Marcos Women’s Health since 2020. Denise is a mother of two and enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with her family. Definitely don’t recommend I waited two weeks for this appointment. They even called me a day before my appointment to confirm. They knew what I was coming in for which was pregnancy in an ultrasound. They even confirmed with me on the phone. The day of the appointment they turned me away because they told me Denise was no longer seeing pregnant women when they could’ve told me that on the phone instead of wasting my time I drove 45 minutes to this office to only be turned away and wasted so much time. The lack of communication was terrible and the front staff was very rude and standoffish definitely don’t recommend.

The staff were overly invested in themselves and their conversations and didn't make me as the patient feel welcome as you would expect. The Dr. was great he made me feel comfortable, the nurse with him was ok but didn't have the same enthusiasm until after he was there in the room with her. I do not like that test results took so long to enter through the system and that there was no call explaining what was found. I may go back to see if it was just an overall busy day for everyone involved and give them the benefit of doubt that they are good at making the patient feel comfortable and welcome.

Denise was awesome. I was a new patient and brought some concerns with me to my appointment that she addressed without hesitation. She even recommended a non-hormonal solution to my concern about low libido and scheduled a follow up to check in on progress and maybe discuss other treatment plans.

NP Denise Lassman was wonderful! She was kind, fast, and answered all of my questions. Her nurse was amazing as well. Front desk was a little short and not the most welcoming but looking past that, will definitely be returning!

I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. There was no receptionist when I arrived despite being instructed to arrive 15 minutes before my appointment. Even more frustrating, it was clear that no one had reviewed the reason for my visit in advance, despite me providing that information when booking.
The clinic advertises that they offer the service I needed, but once I arrived, I was told it wasn’t available. Instead, they attempted to perform a completely unrelated service I hadn’t requested. The entire visit felt disorganized and unprofessional, and I left without receiving any of the help I came for.
I wouldn’t recommend this practice based on my experience.

Health professionals at this clinic made me feel very safe and comfortable. All women! I was in and out with a full womens checkup and comprehensive bloodwork within an hour. Will definitely be returning.

Office staff and intake nurse are terrible. They thought I was a new patient because I used zocdoc but I’ve used it in the past and maybe clicked a wrong button but the front office lady looked annoyed. Then they ask you for is a urine sample even if the problem has nothing to do with your urine. The nurse who took me back to the office was also rude. I have a panic disorder so my BP tends to run really high in the office. She accused me of having high BP all the time and was going to suggest I be taken off all my meds even though I take my BP at home everyday because my primary doctor makes me to maintain my meds and it usually within normal range.
The PA I saw was extremely nice but the office staff is extremely rude and I’ll probably never go back because they not only didn’t care about my panic attack they made it worse.

My experience here was pretty good overall. It was quick and efficient. I just came in for a refill on my birth control because my hormonal acne goes wild if I don’t have it. Since I turned 21, they told me I was due for a Pap smear. Originally I didn’t want to do a physical exam but I went ahead and did it. I was seen by Lindsey Martinez, a PA at the clinic. She was really sweet, educated me on everything I needed to know, and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole exam. She was very quick and thorough. I appreciate this since I’ve had plenty of bad experiences at other clinics. I definitely recommend seeing her if you choose this clinic.

She was very professional and explained to me my concerns. She removed my iud and it was painless- just felt a little tired afterward. She made an event that I was very anxious about into something that was very easy and comfortable. I got referred to a male doctor for an ultrasound during the appointment, which she got me right in, and even stayed with me to make sure I was comfortable. She’s a great doctor. I’ll be coming to see her again.
