“Denise has been incredible with her support of my sons articulation challenges. He's a bit older then most of her students, but she was able to support him regardless. His biggest opportunity was speaking certain words and the sounds of certain letters together in both sentences and alone. Denise fully accessed him and easily identified some techniques to help support his area of growth. He's been working with Denise for about 3/4 of a year, and we can see and hear a remarkable difference. He is now able to clearly speak those challenging words and letters which has given much more confidence in front of his class when reading papers and novels out loud. Denise creates a learning curriculum that best fits the students needs and follows up her work with great positive reinforcement and recognition. My son feels much more confident speaking in front of his classmates, while playing sports and around his friend's. She has truly set him up for future success. ”

About Denise Smith
My name is Denise Smith-Loutfi, and I've been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 19 years. I earned my Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York, New Paltz. I have worked with elementary and middle school-age children with disabilities ranging from mild to severe. I speak four languages: English, Arabic, French, and Spanish. I am ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certified and licensed in California.
I have provided therapy in group settings at schools when I was a school SLP, through telehealth during COVID, and while working for Global Teletherapy and Presence Learning. I have extensive experience and training in the following areas: articulation delays and disorders (I use the complexity approach that gets children results); language delays and disorders; social groups; Autism Spectrum Disorders and social/pragmatic language disorders; ethical multicultural speech and language assessments; Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC), including eye gaze devices and low-tech device training and education; and Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation.
