Dr. McCranie earned his medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine and completed his General Surgery residency through the Wellstar Health System in Atlanta, Georgia. During his training, he gained extensive experience at a Level I Trauma Center and Cancer Center, caring for patients with a broad range of surgical conditions. He provides evaluation and treatment for many common and complex surgical conditions, including abdominal wall and groin hernias, gallbladder disease, skin and soft tissue masses, skin cancer, disorders of the small and large intestine, and other gastrointestinal conditions. He also performs upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy procedures. Dr. McCranie believes that exceptional surgical care begins with listening. He takes time to understand each patient's concerns, explain treatment options in clear and understandable terms, and develop individualized care plans that align with each patient's needs and goals. His focus is on delivering high-quality surgical care using the latest techniques while ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their treatment journey. Originally from Okeechobee, Florida, Dr. McCranie is proud to serve patients throughout Southwest Florida. He is honored to provide surgical care close to home and strives to build lasting relationships with the patients and families he serves.
