I prefer to keep my clients engaged with treatment by regularly checking in, assigning therapeutic homework, and setting clear and realistic expectations so they know exactly how I make recommendations and what they can expect from medications and/or therapy. With over 25 years in psychiatry, I have worked in various settings including inpatient (acute/chronic), emergency, detox, IOP/PHP, outpatient, and substance use.
