Expert in treating all psychiatric conditions. I employ a targeted approach utilizing the biopsychosocial model to select appropriate medications and therapies for mental well-being. With years of success managing even the most refractory cases, I work together with you to form the strongest therapeutic alliance so you can be well.
I bring many years of experience managing all psychiatric conditions, with excellence and mastery in psychopharmacology and drug interactions. I have successfully treated some of the most difficult and refractory psychiatric pathologies. I also see patients on weekends to accommodate your needs.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed my Psychiatry residency at the University of Hawai'i, John A. Burns School of Medicine.

My follow up appointment of my medication is being transferred 2 weeks meanwhile I had no notifications on my phone but I had the rescheduled appointment texted to me which is confusing.

This was a very disappointing visit. In one brief session he will assume he knows exactly what is wrong with you without looking at your mental health history, and will cherry pick the history or points that best suit his treatment specialties. He will ignore documentation, other doctors opinions, and symptoms that are not "severe enough".
If you are high needs, he might suit you, but if you can even successfully pass your classes, he'll assume that there's nothing wrong with you because you can still be a "productive member of society". It doesn't matter if you have to use a million different stressful safety nets you invented, you can mask to society, which is his ultimate goal for patients it seems. This is without including immediate weight shaming, but that's par the course for an NYC doctor.

Dr. Jalan was alright, I would’ve loved to continue on but the internal communication system at NYCPA office seems to be pretty disorganized and unaware of what they need to do for follow ups. They said they have notified my health insurance company (after me chasing up multiple times) but when I checked they never did. I would definitely not recommend.

It was an okay first visit, although I felt the initial session should’ve been longer than 25 minutes. In the past I have had initial sessions that last almost an hour and I feel like this is the best way to make sure the doctor knows all relevant information.
