Sessions are with Devon Cortright, Psy.D., a licensed Clinical Psychologist. He has offered therapy for 15 years. He trains therapists through Polaris Insight Center, has worked on FDA approval studies for psilocybin, has authored two books, and gives talks through videos.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I work with adults dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, transitions, relationship challenges, and feeling stuck in patterns that don’t seem to change. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware but find that insight alone hasn’t led to the change they’re looking for.
My approach combines practical tools with deeper work on emotional and relational patterns. In addition to talking through challenges, we’ll pay attention to how stress and emotions show up in your body, which can help create more lasting change.
I also incorporate an understanding of how past and current relationships shape your experiences, helping you recognize and shift patterns that no longer serve you.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In our first sessions, we’ll get a clear understanding of your goals and what’s been keeping you stuck, and begin building a plan that feels useful and manageable.
I aim to create a space that is collaborative, grounded, and non-judgmental.
