Dr. Dhanviney Verma, MD

Psychiatrist
185 Devonshire St, #502, Boston, MA
I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital with a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School. I finished my undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, and medical school at the University of Vermont. Subsequently, I completed residency and public psychiatry fellowship at Boston University Medical Center. These experiences exposed me to a variety of clinical conditions, diverse populations, and care delivery settings including a safety net hospital, for-profit hospital, DMH facilities, the VA system, and various community health centers. I previously served as the Director of the Rapid Access Psychiatry Clinic at MGH and the inaugural Medical Director at Vinfen Community Behavioral Health Center through the MGH's Visiting Program. In these diverse leadership roles, I collaborated with exceptional teams to develop and expand programs to enhance access to care and improve the quality of services for complex and underserved populations. I also provided the oversight and mentorship in implementing the state behavioral roadmap. During my clinical training, I was awarded the Early Career Psychiatrist Fellowship by the World Psychiatric Association for my work at the Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights. Over the last ten years, I have specialized in providing trauma-informed care with cultural humility at its core. My background in integrative psychiatry, yogic psychology and interest in Ayurveda also inform my clinical approach. This enables me to forge meaningful connections with my patients, embracing their diverse experiences and fostering a genuine sense of understanding and partnership.
