About Dr. Dharam Gohil
A New York native and a Giants fan, Dr. Gohil grew up in Long Island. He completed his undergraduate with B.S. in Chemistry at Stony Brook University. He then went on to pursue medicine at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he consistently achieved top marks. Continuing his education, he completed his residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. He continued his training at Louisiana State University (LSU)- New Orleans in their Pain Management Fellowship program. Dr. Gohil chose to move to Long Island to help chronic pain sufferers through interventional pain management techniques. In his free time, Dr. Gohil loves trying all types of cuisines and enjoys spending time with his wife and Corgi.

I had one appointment regarding severe pain caused by sub-occipital neuralgia. Dr referred me to have an MRI before a nerve ablation (which he recommended) could be done by him, but insurance denied the MRI coverage. I contacted the office to find out next steps, they advised me the Dr would be contacting the insurance company to advise them that the MRI is medically necessary. Unfortunately, I haven’t received any updates from the office in over two months. I contacted the office twice and was told the Dr was working on getting the MRI approved, but was not given any further information or assistance by the staff. For a pain management office, they should either let you know if you should seek pain relief somewhere else or be more proactive in assisting with these kinds of issues, especially when patients are in unbearable pain on a daily basis.

Dr. Gohil’s MA, Dania, was very friendly, professional and thorough in my medical screening. Dr. Gohil has a wonderful, caring, empathetic personality and truly believes he can help my severe back and neck pain. He came up with a strategy for approaching my spinal pain on my first visit. He didn’t rush my visit and really listened to what I was saying. Ben, Dr. Gohil’s RN, came in and explained the procedures I’d be getting and immediately booked them. Ben was kind and helpful. I knew by Dr. Gohil’s photo on zocdoc that he was going to be an amazing medical professional!

I was in terrible pain and asked for a pain pill . Dr refused, I get it with what’s going on in this world with addiction. But I’m 60 yrs old father of four who is not looking for a high. I did not sleep again due to pain. I will get my pin point injection in 3 days. Hope I can last. Drugs are so over used that the ones need some relief can’t get it. Now I just keep swallowing Advils. I liked the dr and hope he can cure this pain I have we will see.

Once again, Dr. Gohil is extremely thorough, empathetic, compassionate and solution-based. The last thing you want to be met with when you are in this level of pain is apathy, gaslighting, suspicion and all the warmth of an O.R. Recovery Room. Which is unfortunately the climate in the medical field of pain "MISmanagement" during HealthcareGate 2022. Dr. Gohil is the exception!

Dr. Gohil was very welcoming and compassionate, listened to all my concerns and even provided me with trigger point injections the day I was in the office.
Within a 5 day time period I was also able to get an epidural injection into my back. Currently waiting to see the full effect of the shot.

This doctor is the real deal . He actually cared and listened to all of my concerns and got straight to the point with a game plan on how to help me get better . Was Super friendly and made me have a comfortable experience. I was amazed at how much knowledge he had about my neck issues even before I would finish explaining my pain he knew the symptoms I was having, that tells you how experienced he is at his profession. Would highly recommend ????

Oh my goodness! I slept last night (PAIN-FREE) for the first time in over a month! A genuinely sincere, empath which is truly unheard of in this climate of "HealthcareGate" .
The patience, willingness, open mindedness, kindness and humility he demonstrated was so extremely refreshing! And in my experience, long overdue.
At one point in the midst of trying to figure out the next course of action in my treatment he said, "I work for you".
It is my hope that he & I come up with a solution. And although, I'm only on my 4th visit I do think that I TRUST Dr. Gohil. That alone is huge!

I had my first consultation with Dr. Gohil on 6/29/2022 for cervical issues. Too much to list. Also, severely advanced osteoarthritis. He reviewed my MRI prior to the appointment I could tell . Within 5 days the authorization was obtained for a cervical epidural & I had the procedure done 7 days later. I did feel like he was thorough & "present". However, unfortunately, in this climate of "HealthcareGate 2022", pain patients are not taken seriously an are usually, patronized, vilified and gaslit. It's very disheartening.

the women that checked me in was nice but rushed. the Dr talked over me and jist completely ignored my requests as if I wasn't saying them. the women that checked me out looked right at me and ignored me for a long time and I didn't even need to do anything so I waited for nothing.
