Getting to know Diana Acosta Romero

As a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adults and families. I believe in a holistic, patient-centered approach to mental wellness, recognizing that every individual's journey is unique. My primary goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where we can work collaboratively to address your mental health needs, whether you are managing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, or navigating challenging life transitions. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I strive to offer culturally sensitive care that bridges communication gaps and ensures you feel truly heard, respected, and understood. I offer flexible care options, including virtual appointments, to make accessing mental health support as convenient as possible. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that empowers you to achieve optimal mental wellness and improve your overall quality of life. I look forward to partnering with you on your path to healing and resilience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The new client can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and deeply collaborative environment . As a bilingual provider fluent in both English and Spanish, I am highly committed to delivering culturally sensitive and accessible care. Whether we are discussing medication management, lifestyle modifications, or coping strategies. Healing is not always a linear process, but I am here to support my patients with empathy, patience, and evidence-based expertise every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first appointment will be a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to explore current symptoms, medical and personal history, past mental health treatments, and patient specific goals for care. By the end of this initial assessment, we will collaboratively design a personalized treatment plan. Subsequent follow-up appointments will generally focus on medication management, evaluating patient's progress, and making any necessary adjustments to patient's treatment. I consistently integrate supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and holistic wellness strategies into patient's visits. I am always happy to collaborate with or refer my patients to dedicated therapists to ensure they receive a complete continuum of care.
