Before entering psychiatry, I spent many years working in critical care, where I saw how often patients with mental health histories, from anxiety and depression to schizophrenia, were overlooked or dismissed in medical settings. Advocating for them became second nature to me, and that experience ultimately shaped my commitment to mental health care. My goal is to help patients slow down, take a breath, and reconnect with themselves. I often say, “Sometimes we go through life surviving. I want to help people start truly living for themselves.” My core values are service, holism, and compassionate care. It simply helps you stop drowning in your symptoms so you can do the deeper work. The rest comes from gaining insight, building awareness, and understanding yourself more fully.
