When you choose a therapist you want to be sure to choose someone whom you know has the knowledge and range of experience to understand the issues with which you are dealing. You want to choose someone you will be comfortable walking with you, helping you as a guide to explore the path you are on, helping you to along the way explore the side-roads you may have missed. You also want someone who has the resources and experience to be able to give practical strategies and solutions when needed. With over 40 years of experience doing psychotherapy, along with my training in long-term and short-term psychotherapy, I have experience in working with individuals with a wide range of issues. Women's issues, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, infertility, adoption, and life-threatening/chronic illness are some of the concerns with which I can help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a down-to-earth, warm, and engaged therapist who views therapy as a journey on which I will accompany you. No matter what the issues are, I hope that I can help you feel you have agency over your own life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions will focus on what brings you to therapy at this time, getting to know more about you and your background, and you having the opportunity to decide if you feel comfortable with me so that our meetings can be helpful to you. I am engaging and interactive, and after our first few sessions, I will share my impressions with you and we can discuss them. I will say that at this point I have likely said some of my observations already.
