The intake appointment began but ended abruptly due to a paperwork mix up. During the call, I explained that I had not received the assessment forms and was simply trying to confirm that I had all of the correct documents so the issue would not happen again. Instead of addressing the concern, the provider appeared visibly rushed and stated that he was not being paid for the time and needed to end the call. The entire interaction lasted about 5 minutes. For someone seeking mental health care, especially for the first time, professionalism, patience, and basic courtesy are critical. The tone and handling of this situation felt dismissive and transactional. While I cannot speak to his clinical abilities since the intake was not completed, the initial experience did not reflect the level of care or attentiveness one would expect when seeking mental health support.

He never showed up to our telehealth appointment. I tried calling twice and left a message. No response. Not the best look when you’re dealing with people’s mental health, especially during the holidays. Please do better.

poor bedside manner, disparages medicaid patients to your face, (i am a medicaid patient) brings up other patients very personal problems and while he does leave out any identifiable information, still uncool. told him that i get really depressed because of online harassment that i receive and he said “i used to date a model with 4 million followers and she would read every hate comment, so it could even happen to someone gorgeous”. great at backhanded compliments. pretty knowledgeable about medications but i have no idea how he got his MD tbh!

I only started with Diego Marin a month ago. I am definitely keeping him as my doctor. He is super nice and understanding. He doesn’t judge me at all and I’m comfortable talking to Dr. Marin. Thank you

Though I have only seen him once, I do have another appointment in about a week, I will say he was great. Listened to my concerns and we will be working on a medication plan to manage my anxiety, depression, and ptsd. I look forward to continuing treatment and will edit my review if necessary. I definitely recommend based on my experience so far.

The Dr. refused to assist me with my anxiety disorder and recommended I seek out therapy which never worked in the past. Essentially, he pretty much told me to go purchase drugs illegally to assist my anxiety rather than prescribe me a medicine that works with my body.

It was a great appointment. I’m happy that some changes will be made in the near future. I would definitely refer Dr. Marin. Thank you

The doctor was not particularly attentive. I had several appointments and all I heard about was how busy he was. It makes you feel like an inconvenience more than a patient/customer. His office is also very difficult to get in touch with outside of appointments. Nobody answers the phone, the text line is spotty at best, and the patient portal is not helpful (had the appointments gone better, I probably would not have needed to get back in touch anyway). He also often charges large “document fees” to write basic doctor’s notes for work, school, etc. (I’ve never seen that before, and they are not covered by insurance). The one I received even had information that did not align with my situation, as if he copied and pasted it from another patients’ paperwork. I moved on to another provider, and couldn’t be happier.

I was really excited to meet with Dr. Marin because he had decent reviews. However, he simply never showed up for our call. Tried to call the office multiple times and was sent straight to voicemail, and even after leaving a message, I was never notified about anything regarding rescheduling or anything of that matter. I was sitting for over an hour for him, just to now show up. I can't speak to him specifically, but I was very disappointed in the professionalism, and will not be rescheduling.

I waited for information about how to join my appointment and didn’t receive anything and tried getting a hold of the office and could not reach them and never had my scheduled appointment. Terrible.

Dr. Marin is a great doctor. He’s understanding, patient, and has made me feel comfortable from the start. I never feel judged when I talk to him, which means a lot. He listens and does his best to help with my situation, and I truly appreciate how supportive he’s been. If you’re looking for someone compassionate and grounded, I’d definitely recommend him.

The doctor understood my needs and was very knowledgeable. I appreciate that he really took the time to understand my issues unlike the other providers I contacted. I will be seeing him again.

Dr. was very paitien and lisen to my concerns. I like his suggestions and concerns. He was very empatethic. I already recomended him to a friend. Its so nice of hime to take state insurance since nobody takes it in our area. My wait time was only few days. Othere once were months and months. I truly appreciate that he thinks about less fortunate people who can't have regular insurance. Thank you so much.

I didn’t feel comfortable with him, dr Marin. He mentioned he had to go to the hospital for his next patients twice, stated that he was late because my appointment was late in the afternoon, I reminded him that he setup the appointment. Not interested in going back.
