“Dr Heron is personable She always greets you with a friendly smile She fully reviews your chart and tells you the results of your most recent tests I had had a bone density and she reviewed the results and explained the meaning of the scores showing that I had osteopenia and that the result showed improvement from the last review She also gives you a copy of your results and recent lab work She answers all your questions and you never feel rushed ..You can read her after visit summary and notes”

Dihan Heron, MD is Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism and Internal Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Stony Brook. Dr. Heron completed her internship and fellowship at New York Hospital Queens, as well as her residency at New York University Medical Center. She specializes in all disorders of the endocrine system, with a special interest in thyroid and pituitary disorders. Dr. Heron also performs ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirations of the thyroid.

I am not happy with the drastic change of my medication which the doctor made that resulted in my levels to be off! I explained to the doctor when I first met with her what dosage I was taking per week. I was sent for blood test and then I received a call and informed that my meds were changed to a much lower dosage which has caused a change in the way I feel, including feeling cold, weight Gain, although I have no changes in diet or exercise, and feeling tired all the time!
I believe she is a very good doctor. However there has been a few mix-ups with no providing the medication in the correct form.
