What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is person-centered, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe there is more to mental health than a diagnosis or a list of symptoms, so I take time to understand your experiences, goals, physical health, environment, and what may be affecting how you feel. I want you to feel heard and comfortable asking questions. Together, we'll discuss your concerns and explore treatment options that make sense for your individual needs. My goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-informed care while helping you feel informed and empowered throughout the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first visit typically begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. I'll ask about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, sleep, and other factors that may provide important context. We'll also discuss your goals and what you hope to get out of treatment. From there, we can develop an individualized treatment plan, which may include medication management, psychopharmacology, psychoeducation, or other appropriate recommendations. I emphasize longitudinal care, so treatment can evolve as we learn what works best for you. When appropriate, Stella Mental Health also offers additional services and advanced treatments, including TMS, Spravato (esketamine), ketamine-assisted therapy, integration therapy, and psychotherapy.
