Getting to know Dr. Dillon Hayes

Welcome. My name is Dr. Dillon Hayes, I’m a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and leadership consultant with a private practice located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. My aim is to help you cultivate mindfulness, insight and a desire for personal growth in all areas of your life. The goal is not to simply reduce feelings of stress, anxiety and depression, but to help you thrive in your personal and professional endeavors. As a medical doctor specializing in psychiatry, I have training in both medication management and psychotherapy. I specialize in treating clients dealing with depression, anxiety, addictions, adult ADHD and issues concerning stress, burnout and performance optimization in the workplace. You may feel stuck right now, but we can work together to discover what's been holding you back - so you can achieve a lasting sense of happiness, contentment and wellness. —--------------------------------- I earned my B.S. from Cornell University and began my career working in finance. I then transitioned into medicine and earned my M.D. from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. I completed my postgraduate training at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Training Program. In addition to my private practice, I previously worked as an attending physician at NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln and as a staff psychiatrist at both Lenox Hill Hospital and Fordham University. ***Please understand that I do not participate in any insurance plans as an out-of-network provider. The doctor was great. The secretary was nowhere to be found and didn’t respond to anything. I thought the office was empty for a while before she finally came out from the back.

The first professional that ever asked me what my goals were for treatment! (In our first meeting) This in itself kick-started positive internal feedback. Really comfortable with our conversations, relaxed bedside manner without the weird probing questions I have previously experienced with mental health professionals.
Dr. Hayes is incredibly easy to speak with during sessions offering a calm demeanor and asking questions that help you explore areas that could be the source of your problems. He listens intently, stopping you at times for clarification, which shows an interest in getting the facts straight. He is also very responsive to emails. I highly recommend choosing him as your primary psychiatrist.
Dr. Hayes is a great Psychiatrist and did a great job making me feel comfortable. His treatment methods are effective and he always responds within a timely manner.
