Dixie Fulk, PA-C

Physician Assistant
216 Moore Rd, King, NC
My path to medicine was shaped by personal experience. Having dealt with cardiac problems myself, I became familiar with the healthcare system early on and understood firsthand what it means to be a patient. That experience planted a seed. I started my career as a certified nursing assistant, and while I found deep meaning in that work, I knew I wanted to do more for the people in my care. My educational foundation includes a biology degree with a chemistry minor from Greensboro College, which gave me a strong understanding of the science behind medicine at the cellular level. As a college volleyball player, I also learned the value of teamwork, which I carry with me into work each day. My approach to care is patient-centered. I strive to give each person I see all available options and as much information as possible, presented in a way that is easy to understand. Every patient deserves to feel confident and informed when making decisions about their health. I believe that when people truly understand their situation, they are empowered to choose the path that is right for them. Outside of work, I am married to my best friend, and we share our home with our Doberman, who is very much a four-legged family member. My downtime is spent crafting and enjoying time with friends and family.
