About Dr. Dolma Magar
Dr. Dolma Magar is a board certified podiatrist who graduated summa cum laude from St. Francis College in Brooklyn with majors in Biology and minors in Chemistry. Upon graduation, she attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, one of the oldest and most respected colleges in this field. Her post doctoral training was completed at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn where she was a chief resident. She is trained for treatment of any kind of foot and ankle disorders and she never fails to make her patients feel better and happy. Dr. Magar has always been intrigued by the underappreciated things in life. This is one of the reasons why she chose the field of podiatry as she feels that our feet are one of the most neglected parts of our body. She is especially interested in sports medicine, foot and ankle surgeries with deformity corrections such as bunion, hammertoes, and foot reconstructions. Dr. Magar finds immense satisfaction and pride in being able to cure/alleviate pain from people who are in discomfort when they initially come to see her. In her spare time, she likes to travel and spend time with her family. She is an avid hiker and considers Mt. Rainier, Washington as her toughest challenge yet. One day, she hopes to trek to Everest Base Camp.

Patient reviews for Dr. Dolma Magar
Dr. Magar's office staff took me half an hr after I made the appointment. I was able to see her and get treated all within my lunch break. And she is very friendly and personable.
Quick visit. Treated right away. Saw my foot xray for the first time.
I went to see Dr. Magar after I saw these reviews on Zocdoc. They were very accurate, she is a great doctor and I have found a new podiatrist I will recommend my friends and Family.
I went to Dr. Magar's office for a second opinion for my ankle sprain, after the first podiatrist said I need surgery. I went to see her and she healed me with no surgery. With her treatment, followed up with physical therapy, I am back to my normal activities like the sprain never happened. I highly recommend her and she really knows what she is doing.
Dr. Magar and her staff were professional and did not waste any time helping with my condition. My prescription was at my pharmacy before I left the office.
She didn’t listen to me at all. I sat in her office and explained a problem over and over again plain and simple yet she couldn’t grasp it. She was scattered with her prognosis and how to attack confront the matter at hand.
She's fantastic! !
DR. Magar was sensitive to my anxiety and pain. She explained the condition and the options available.
The visit was pleasant and we went right into the problem. X-ray is in site and recommendations were referred.
Will definitely go back to see her and refer to all my friends. Front desk is also really nice.
Dr. Magar is on point with her plan to treat my broken toe. She has great bedside manner and I felt comfortable discussing with her about my issues.
I went to see Dr. Magar at the Midtown Office. Nice clean office with excellent front desk service. Very clear on the plan of treatment and explained in detail about what I had. Did not feel rushed and even got on the spot xrays of myfoot. Highly recommend.
Dr Magar is professional and she was very thorough during the treatment. She helped me with my pain right away and i walked out of the office very happy.
Class act. I came all the way into the city from Forest Hills with my sore foot. She recommended another doctor (who was a mentor to her at one time) a stone's throw away from where I live and also did not charge me for the visit. - Her office used to be in Forest Hills as well. She still looked at my foot and all too.
Great practice conveniently located in midtown. The office was neat and clean. They got me in and out quickly and the doctor has a great bedside manner.
Dr. Magar was very helpful! Would definitely recommend!
Extremely professional, was personable and explained everything in full detail. I would recommend to all of my friends.
She’s absolutely lovely and has a great sense of humour. Didn’t need to ask many questions. She knows what she’s doing and was well prepared. Overall was a great visit and her Office Manager, Marie, was fantastic. Thank you.
She is fantastic!
Recommendations for treatment wa positive Great work ethic
She's great. Super attentive and helpful. Appointment was a breeze.
Great visit - I was called in right away. My visit was quick but I did not feel rushed. Dr. Magar is very nice, and I will be going to her again in the future.
Helpful intreating symptoms - accurate and straight forward.
Dr. Magar was warm and friendly, took the time to explain to me about my injury and how to care for it. The medical office was clean and bright, and I had no wait time. Saturday hours rock!
Office is nice and staff are friendly. She is very professional and she know how to treat a painful foot.
Knowledgeable and helpful. Very accommodating. Definitely recommend
I had a very pleasant visit with Dr. Magar. She was very informative and so sweet! Even her receptionist was awesome. Highly recommend!
She is so kind, well-known at her field of treatment. Diffently I recommend her.
Dr. Magar is very friendly and she takes time to explain whats really wrong with the foot. Went for a second opinion, I will be sticking with her for the rest of my treatment.
I had to see Dr. Magar fter i tripped over the table. I was able to get a quick appointment and she has Xray machine in her office so she was able to give the correct treatment right away. Happy with the staff and her medial expertise!
This is my third visit at the Midtown office with Dr. Magar, I am currently training for NYC Marathon this weekend. After running for 17 mile my feet were so painful that I would stop running. She treated me 3 weeks ago and she made sure that my feet were ready for the Marathon. Thanks to the wonderful and professional team at Midtown Foot Care.
Dr. Magar did my bunion surgery. I am very happy with the results and would highly recommend anyone looking for a great foot doctor. You will not be disappointed.
The Receptionist was wonderful?!! ( I almost wished that she was the doctor!!?) Dr. Magar is nice, but I feel that she needs to work on herself a little bit more. This was my first time seeing her & she came across as rather impatient & didn't seem to want to listen to me. (Quote "I have another patient waiting outside." ) She also spoke about me having surgery on both feet right away, and I was not impressed with that. I would have preferred that she talk about alternative treatments, first. And when I mentioned something about water therapy-which is what I had last year with a different doctor but I forgot the exact name of the procedure-she didn't know what that was. (Quote "'Are you sure that you didn't go to a Physical Therapist's office instead?") I don't think that she is experienced enough but that with time, she will improve. Unfortunately though I can't to her again, bc I don't feel comfortable.
Dr. Magar and the office staff are very friendly and professional. I was seen quickly and treated very well. I highly recommend Dr. Magar for any podiatry needs you may have.
She actually explained why the pain in my foot was happening rather than just treating me. I appreciate doctors who take the time to explain why without using too much jargon.
She is super friendly and personable! Very energetic doctor who explains everything thoroughly!
Happy with the office and doc.
She's great, very personable and thorough. I highly recommend her.
She was very thorough and I appreciated the fact that she wrapped my feet (She said I have plantar fasciitis) to ensure I'd feel comfortable when I left the office. I would definitely return and recommend her to others.
I loved every minute of it. It was quick and easy. She explained my foot pain to me, we worked on a treatment plan and I was back at work within the hour. She was also very friendly. Loved it.
Everyone was great. The paperwork is a bit legacy. Time to go paperless. I'll be back for my surgery.
Would highly recommend Dr. Magar for all your foot care needs. Excellent bedside manner. Dr. Magar recommended Orthotic inserts for my feet - now my feet are so happy!!!
Very professional and truly cares about my well being. She made sure that I left the office feeling Better and had answers to all my concerns. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
The doctor listened patiently to my questions and concerns and addressed all of them. She gave me treatment options and wasn't pushy. Felt very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Dr. Magar gave excellent explanations of what she was doing and why. My only, small, complaint is how patients are addressed. Please address me the same way you introduce yourself. If you call yourself Dr. Magar, have the courtesy to call me Ms./Mr. X.
Extra friendly and helpful. Treated my minor injury with major care.
Very kind and professional
