About Domenica Ramirez
Domenica is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). In the last seven years, she worked as a women’s health Registered Nurse while earning her Doctorate of Nursing Practice Degree at the University of Central Florida. She is deeply passionate about women’s health and has worked in various specialties such as high-risk obstetrics, gynecology/oncology, postpartum, and antepartum units.
Her training has exposed her to the specific health needs women have and vows to be a patient advocate for those needs. Domenica is bilingual in English and Spanish. She was born in Ecuador and grew up in Weston, FL. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and loves going to the beach with her dog. As a new patient, my visit with Domenica was great. She listened and was patient when asking questions. She took her time and understood what I was looking for and what my plans were. The staff were friendly as well. Overall, I appreciate the fact that it was not a rushed visit. My experience with everyone was pleasant.

Domenica Ramirez was professional and friendly at the same time. She listened to me carefully and responded. She explained everything she was doing as she did it. This was my first time seeing her and I was very impressed. But note that I said I was impressed with her. The office staff, although friendly and helpful got my first name wrong on the paperwork they physically handed to the nurse practitioner, despite the fact that I wrote my name and the date on all of the very many pages I had to fill out. I also filled out everything on Zocdoc before the appointment at home as I was prompted to do via multiple texts from Zocdoc multiple times before the appointment . However, when I arrived but when I arrived at the office I was informed that I had to fill out different forms. Per the front desk, Zocdoc does not adequately transfer all of the data. As a result I had to fill out everything before hand per Zocdoc which I did. Why was I not informed of this before my appointment?

My daughter has been seeing her same MD for years in Miramar. She would drive 45 minutes from her home in Coconut Creek since it was only one visit per year. Now that she got pregnant she tried to continue in the same place, but it was a complete disaster. Since she lives close to Boca, we decided to look for a new gynecologist near her home, and we found Domenica. Our first visit was just PERFECT. Domenica gave us lots of info and answered all our questions. She immediately proceeded to make tests and sonograms that we didn’t know were necessary for my daughter’s stage in pregnancy. Domenica has Hispanic background so she understood many of our cultural concerns. She was warm, knowledgeable, and empathic. We can now relax and enjoy this beautiful moment knowing that we are in the best hands. The baby will be delivered next door ( Baptist Boca), where the gynecologist is the head of the department.

Dominica is the absolute best. If you have high anxiety, or have had a bad experience in the past then you should be seen by her. Her bedside manner is excellent, she explains everything before she does it, and has a lot of compassion for her patients. I look forward to seeing her again in the future.

The OBGYN nurse practitioner I saw was not only friendly but also knowledgeable. The warm and welcoming attitude made me feel comfortable right away. She took the time to explain things clearly and patiently, which definitely reduced my anxiety. I highly recommend her care to anyone seeking gynecology care.
