Getting to know Dr. Dominic Misiak

Dominic Misiak, DO, is a board-certified psychiatrist based in Novi, Michigan. He earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience from the University of Michigan in 2013 before pursuing his medical education at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his DO in 2019. He then completed his psychiatry residency at Trinity Health Livonia Hospital in 2023. Dr. Misiak provides psychiatric care for adults ages 18 to 64, taking a holistic and compassionate approach that fosters a non-judgmental environment for his patients. He emphasizes the importance of lifestyle interventions—such as nutrition, sleep, and exercise—alongside evidence-based treatments to support overall well-being. He specializes in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, with a particular focus on PTSD and trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. In addition, he has completed the available certification training in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), which included experiential training through a Holotropic Breathwork workshop. He has a dedicated interest in psychedelic harm reduction and the therapeutic integration of holotropic experiences. Outside of his practice, Dr. Misiak enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, painting, listening to EDM/dubstep, and bodybuilding.
